A leading automotive company are now looking for an Emissions Test Technician to carry out emission tests on a variety of vehicles. This will include all current and future world-wide emissions regulations.

Job Requirements
As the Emissions Test Technician the successful applicant will carry out maintenance & calibration of Horiba analytical systems, to include Mexa 9000 & 7000, CVS systems, duplex tunnel, heated filter enclosure, canister load equipment, and micro-balance equipment. Conduct externally witnessed certification level testing for diesel & gasoline to Euro 5 Calibration and maintenance of chassis dynamometers, to include Froude Consine CD60 using Froude software, and MRW-Merilab using Cadet 14.0 software. Both systems require knowledge of road load modelling function. You will also be responsible for the set up of datalogging equipment with post-test processing and validation. Produce test reports. Validate test data for legal conformity. Fault-find and diagnose test system problems. Arrange daily test schedules to meet all client demands with maximum flexibility.

Qualifications required: GCE/GCSE, Min Grade C, Maths, English, + a Science Qualified Motor vehicle/vehicle electrical-electronics to NVQ2/BTEC/ONC Experience of vehicle emission testing and knowledge of test regulations. Must pay attention to details with a methodical approach. No shift work, some short notice overtime . Flexible approach required. Some infrequent travel may be required.
