Engine Test Systems and Emissions Engineer

Qualifications / Experience:
• The requirements of the role include a strong engineering background.
• Degree / HND (or equivalent) in Electronic / Mechanical / Control Systems Engineering.
Essential Experience:
• Candidates will need considerable experience within a performance and emissions
development testing environment, to include test facilities, control systems and emissions equipment commissioning and maintenance.
• Good communication skills are essential to collect and disseminate information between engineering staff and to conduct the required training.
• Our Client will also consider graduates who have had some exposure to engine test cells (Salary £20,000 - £25,000).
Responsibilities:
The main duties will include:
• Understanding engine development testing requirements to meet current legislation and programme requirements.
• Designing tests, high level user programming and validation of test bed operating systems, CP Engineering V14 CADET, and TA T2000 system.
• Continuous development of automated test procedures to improve utilisation and efficiency.
• Standardisation of test bed file structures and content.
• Operational control and continuous development of CP Engineering test lab management system (TLS) and Uniplot data processing system.
• Conducting training courses on all aspects of test bed control and data processing systems.
• Technical control of gaseous and particulate emissions equipment, to include fault diagnosis, training and integration of results into overall test processed data.
Basic Hours:
39hrs / week 08:30 to 17:00 (16:00 on Fridays).
Salary Range:
£30,000 - £40,000 for highly experienced candidates.

Relocation:
Negotiable- generally covering all physical relocation costs.
