General Engineering Manager to be responsible for delivering profitability in line with budgets and forecasts immediately required for a high quality systems integrator with an outstanding reputation for manufacturing quality MCC and PLC solutions including SCADA, MES and PLC software.

Responsibilities will be varied and will include the following:

· Plan & direct all activities to achieve targets
· Instrumental in new business development & cultivating existing customers
· Develop staff in technical, commercial and project management skills including development plans and training programmes
· Responsible for implementation of Health & Safety
· Manage all client issues/disputes where necessary
· Provide cost effective control solutions including bid reviews prior to submission
· Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of all projects ensuring they are on time, to budget and meet agreed specifications

Ideally degree qualified in an Electrical Engineering discipline with solid post graduate experience, you will also have worked within a systems integration environment-including operational responsibility-with knowledge of CDM, CE, PUWER, HSAW, BSEN 60439, BSEN 60204, BSEN 292 and ATEX. You must also possess:

· Demonstrable track record in the successful delivery of cost effective projects encompassing civils, mechanical and control solutions within some of Food, FMCG, Automotive, Materials Handling or Utility industries.
· Sound understanding of the sales & proposals function within an electrical engineering company
· Excellent man management ability
· Motivational, analytical, mediation and organisational skills
· Strong commercial acumen
· Engineering Health & Safety

This position is offering an excellent Basic Salary of up to £60k with Car Allowance and Pension Scheme, and is commutable from Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham, Chesterfield, Wakefield, Huddersfield, or Barnsley
