Pay Grade: £10.56 per hour
Mon-Thursday time+1.3 for first 2 hours after 39, time+half after
Friday afternoon & Saturday time+half

Setters Primary Functions
· Ensure machines are set in a safe, efficient and timely manner
· Ensure machines are set to produce components that are to drawing.
· Ensure that the operator has the correct instructions, gauges and samples to produce components of suitable quality.
· Programming. Writing, proving and/or improving programs Fanuc.
· Ensure set up sheets are created and or updated as necessary and filed appropriately.
· Attend daily / weekly meetings to discuss setting priority’s and imminent machine shop issues
· Ensure breakdowns or required repairs are reported to maintenance in a timely manner.

General:
The applicant will be:

· Able to perform as part of a team
· Able to communicate with fellow employees in a professional, positive and effective manner.
· Able to modify, utilize, and standardize CNC programs.
· Proficient at completing machine changeovers, ranging from manual to full CNC multi-axis lathes and millers.
· Able to modify / develop jigs / fixtures to enable quicker changeovers and or improved quality of product.
· Able to guide / lead department operators in terms of daily role requirements to ensure that the department meets its manufacturing schedule.
· Able to guide / lead department operators in using better techniques
· Flexible in approach.


Experience / Key skills
· Time served relating to general engineering disciplines or relevant qualifications will be considered.
· Preferable experience in the design of fixtures and tooling.
· Preferable experience in Cad / Cam packages.
· Attention to detail - ability to work precisely and accurately to drawing / instruction.
· Experience at self managing small projects relating to cost effective improvements to the manufacturing, from identification of the opportunity through to effective implementation of the change.
