Maintenance Fitter

We are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join a vastly growing company based in Consett. Reporting to the Mechanical Team Leader you will be responsible for installation, commissioning, breakdown and planned preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment. Previous experience is essential. Ideal candidates will come from a chemical engineering background and have previous experience or knowledge of pumps, pipe work and reaction vessels.

You will be working day shift to start either 6am-2pm or 7am-3pm but will then go on to work shifts 2pm-9pm, 9pm-6am and 6am-2pm after initial probationary period.

You will have 23 paid days holiday with an additional 12 paid rest days per year, rest days are at the company's discression, are only for employees working shifts and must be taken one per month.

After the succession of a 6 month probationary period your wage will rise to £24'500 Per Annum.
