My Client, an International company specialise in the international transport of valuable goods. Therefore the expertise and experience are of critical importance as is knowledge of the international valuables market. The Candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to establish operational quality from day 1 by implementing existing operational and security risk procedures.
Customer service is of paramount importance, so the ability to work to short timescales and time critical deadlines is imperative.
The functions of the role:
* To manage, direct and control all operational matters to achieve efficiency in customer service.
* Establish the business from an operational perspective, develop and maintain depth of knowledge of the network and the personalities involved.
*Keep abreast of all major developments in the international market, including awareness of security and commercial developments
* Ensure the appropriate line-of-sight security and control is maintained throughout the international logistics chain, in line with the outsourced principle of business.
* Liaise with airlines, freight forwarding partners, and local ground support companies.
* Communicate effectively with customers to ensure customer service expectations are met.
*Ensure operational job files are maintained and IT systems are utilised to maximise efficiency and weekly reporting timescales are met.
This position will report to the Head of the UK, ensuring each and every shipment is collected and delivered within the timescale agreed with the customer base. Shipment records will be maintained along with the implementation of operational guidelines, adherence to local laws and regulations where governing air, sea, land and sea cargo are concerned.
Ideally the suitable Candidate will be educated to A level standard or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years freight forwarding management experience including valuable cargo.
English language is mandatory
German language and advantage
