A large mobile telecommunications company currently requires a replacement Safety, Health and Environment Manager to join their established team covering numerous sites across the UK. They are a maintenance and design & build contractor for some of the highly recognised global brands within the market. Due to increasing workload and maintenance of successful contracts they are now looking to expand the Health & Safety team. With large amounts of work lined up for the New Year, you will have had come from a telecoms background and be familiar with the systems in use across the industry.
You will be responsible for health & safety on number of sites across the UK, varying from on-site construction & maintenance safety through to occupational health within office sites. Due to the company working UK wide you must be prepared to travel extensively. You will be responsible for a number of tasks also including;
- Creation & maintenance of current safety plans and development of new policies, procedures and guidance.
- Identify where efficiencies can be made & communicated throughout the H&S network across the business units.
- Management of the processes and investigations into accidents
- Working on assigned projects, producing risk assessments and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and creating specific strategies.
In order to be considered for interview you will have to demonstrate experience in –
- Working within a large mobile technologies company or services provider
- Management of a team and demonstrate abilities of advancing your team
- You will have demonstrable experience of producing a strategic national overview
- Knowledge of dealing with sub-contractors & business clients at a high level
- Due to the technical nature of some of the work you will need to have knowledge of latest advances & methods across the industry as a whole.
