Highly successful Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is currently looking to recruit an experienced Marketing Intelligence Specialist.

Please Note: you must be able to gain SC (Secret Level) Security Clearance if you’re not already cleared to that level.

The salary on offer is between £35k - £37k + Outstanding benefits including overtime, flexitime etc.

Marketing Intelligence Specialist Job Description:

Lead activities providing global marketing figures and forecasts to support marketing activities.

Duties include:

• Define and propose to the Group Head of marketing a process to establish reliable market figures related to the different segments where the Organisation is doing business
• Implement and manage the process of determining, analysing and updating on a regular basis these key market figures in terms of company and competitor performance.
• Ensure knowledge and understanding of competitors in the market place to be able to make a strategic forecast (up to 10 years.)
• Analyse the defence budgets and their impact on the missiles market
• Provide a synthetic document on a yearly basis detailing these market figures
• Establish intermediate reports on a monthly basis
• Analyse and propose to the Group Head of marketing solutions to improve the process used for open source intelligence activity
• Lead, develop and motivate assigned staff to ensure they are aware of and capable of delivering their accountabilities.
• Keep up to date in area(s) of expertise (ensuring that reporting and other relevant staff do likewise) to ensure that the Organisation is aware of and able to take into account or advantage of new developments.

Experience required:

• Significant experience and proven track record in marketing intelligence
• Previous experience in relational data bases (Access or similar) and in the use of PC tools (Office) as well as web sites watch (Digimind)
• Strong analytical skills (experience as an analyst in open source intelligence desirable)
• Rational and logical thinker
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Inquisitive, open and adaptable to change
