Working as part of our Marine Geotechnical team; this role is responsible for the coordination, planning and production of detailed proposals, including all technical, commercial and contractual aspects.

Specifically, the Tendering Engineer is required to examine and respond to invitations to tender (based on various conditions of contract), evaluate technical and commercial risk and negotiate directly with clients. This role will work with a multi-disciplinary team, sub-contractors and other Fugro companies.

This role calls for excellent communication and organisational skills, specifically prioritisation of workload in order to meet deadlines. Competence in the utilisation of all MS Office software is essential; experience of working within comparable industries and / or international teams would be beneficial but is not essential.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a degree level qualification and experience of civil or geotechnical engineering; experience of ICC, NEC and Logic Contracts is also preferred.

Reporting to the HR Manager and operating across both factories, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, efficient administrative support to the HR and senior team. The emphasis of the role will be on developing and administering HR and Payroll IT systems and processes including collating, monitoring and reporting recruitment, training, attendance, sickness/absence and performance-related information. You will also provide administrative support in the delivery of various site-based employee relations/HR initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have strong administration and process skills gained in a similar role, preferably but not essentially in a manufacturing environment. Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential and you must be able to demonstrate the ability to use your own initiative and to manage your own workload. IT proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel is prerequisite.
