Why register my CV on your site?

CV registration is free all you need to do is fill in the quick registration form and upload the latest version of your CV. Visit our CV tips page for useful hints on writing your CV.

This will immediately increase your chances of finding employment. Hundreds of employers/recruiters search through our database of CVs every day.

N.B. Once registered, agencies will have access to your CV and may contact you directly when recruiting.

Can I apply for jobs on your website?

Yes, registered candidates can apply directly to all jobs listed on the CV-Library site. If you are a registered candidate your CV will already be uploaded so all you need to add is a cover letter before you submit your application.

N.B. Use the contact details listed with the job, do not phone CV-Library to make an application.

What happens if a recruiter chooses my CV?

The employer/recruiter will contact you directly. We only give details to those who we feel are genuinely looking for employees.

I'm a self employed contractor, can you help me?

Absolutely, register your CV with us and recruiters will be able to contact you more easily.

Can I use part of, or all of, a pre-prepared CV?

Yes, you can upload a Word Document, pdf, rtf, wps, odt, or txt file.

N.B. If the formatting looks wrong when you upload your CV don't worry, the recruiter will see it in its original format.

Is there a limit to the size of my CV?

No, but we ask you to keep it brief; it doesn't need to be an autobiography. For more help and advice on your CV see our CV Tips page.

Can I edit my CV?

Yes, you can edit or update your CV at any time, simply log-in to the candidate area and click 'Modify CV'.

Can I remove my CV?

Yes, once you've found your ideal job you may wish to remove your CV. Simply login to the candidate area and click 'Delete CV'.

N.B. When you delete your CV your profile is also removed.

What is the candidate area?

Use your personal login details to enter the candidate area. From here you can edit your CV, review job applications and find job postings saved during previous searches. Registered candidates can also set up Jobs by Email which means all relevant vacancies will be emailed directly to you.

You can also find links to valuable resources in our candidate area, including; job searching advice, career coaching and our training centre.

Can I apply for a job from abroad?

Unfortunately, CV-Library does not offer this service at the moment. Job applications are restricted to candidates with a UK address and phone number only.

N.B. If there is a contact phone number with the job advert you could reach them directly and ask about applying from abroad.

What about security?

We will not give any of your details to anyone other than those who are genuinely looking for candidates. For further information see our Terms & Conditions.
