Description

About the role
Challenging, fast-paced, far reaching – this role requires a cool head, confident leadership and operational savvy. As the all important operations link between our European Head Office and our European stores (all 950 of them – and counting), you’ll take responsibility for ensuring all store operations processes and new initiatives are planned, developed and delivered in the most effective, efficient way. Providing a crucial service to all our European zones, you will inspire confidence in all around you. You’ll work closely with key colleagues across Europe to ensure that we consistently meet our pan-European operational objectives on time and to budget. In short, you’ll provide a seamless service to our stores, so that they can concentrate on what they do best: delighting customers and driving sales.
About you
With considerable experience gained in a store support, operations or area/district management role (ideally in a fashion multi-site environment), you’ll be unflappable – used to tight deadlines and challenging remits. Always focused on customer experience, you’ll be brimming with ideas of how we can improve our operational processes and systems, and will relish this chance to put them into practice. Fluency in one or more European languages would be an advantage.
About Claire’s
Success brings its own rewards. In our case, it has been growth. Growth in every corner of Europe. So for fast-paced, ever evolving excitement, Claire’s really is the place to be as we strive to be ‘the’ number one fashion jewellery and accessories retailer for our target customer. While it’s ambitious, it’s certainly achievable. Especially now that we have a dedicated European Head Office in Birmingham – the nerve centre of our business. So if, like us, you’re driven, ambitious, innovative and positive, come and talk to us.

Description
|
As an Assistant Manager at Claire’s, no two days will ever be the same. From helping to supervise store operations, to recruiting, training and developing Sales Assistants, there will always be something to keep you busy. And that’s exactly how you’ll like it.
You’ll help to lead and inspire your team to meet specified targets and deadlines, and know all there is to know about our glittering array of products. You’ll contribute to the overall performance of the store by driving sales at every opportunity, whilst making sure every customer receives exceptional levels of service and enjoys their visit to Claire’s.
Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for keeping the store looking as gleaming as the products within, and merchandising stock to maximise sales and create strong visual impact. Working with the Store Manager, you’ll create a fun and motivational working environment where every member of your team is challenged and working to their potential.
With infectious enthusiasm and an inspirational leadership style, you’ll have some management experience in retail, leisure or hospitality, during which time you’ll have developed your organisational, problem solving and leadership skills. You’ll need to be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) with excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
