Primary Purpose of the Role

To be responsible for undertaking the delegated tasks within a programme. This will mainly involve undertaking the system design and implementation activities, from requirements analysis through to acceptance.

Principal Relationships

Capable of technical leadership and small work package management on single programmes. Key Tasks

Produce designs to meet customer requirements and provide support to the engineering Manager to meet scheduled time scales and costs. Produce documentation to support design activities to Company Standards, conforming to ISO9001 and CMMI. Design system solutions that can be implemented in the agreed scheduled time and costs using the appropriate resources in the company. Supervise the implementation of the design to ensure that products are manufactured to the required quality and reliability. Support the engineering manager in the estimating and monitoring of project duration and cost to complete, to enable future costs and resource requirements to be accurately assessed. Be able to contribute to the technical content of proposals in order to win new business. To Produce specifications and design documentation for new systems in line with standard company processes. Audit and review the quality and accuracy of and technical content of design work carried out by others on the team in pursuance of the system design goals. Provide guidance to team members in order that they may apply themselves more effectively.
