A world leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment are now looking for an Applications Engineer to help develop thorough understanding of the clients requirements, and the engine performance and emissions of the application.
As the Applications Engineer this role will require understanding and interpreting customer requirements for fuel injection equipment and the engine management system, executing or managing rig test, engine test and system calibration activities, liaison with client engineers and managers, short term residency at client premises (e.g. climate test trips), troubleshooting and supporting engineering and system calibration activities through to production and beyond.
System integration and calibration of fuel injection systems on a range of engine applications, both on- and off-highway.
Support to, or responsibility for (depending on skills), aspects of engine and FIE system calibration
Devising and executing test and analysis work on fuel injection equipment rigs, engines and vehicles. Writing reports and presenting results.
Close liaison with client (including short periods at client premises) to monitor project progress, track our clients components, train client engineers in systems and assist in troubleshooting on calibration, mechanical and electronic issues.
The successful candidate must hold a degree in mechanical engineering or related subject with experience of engine emissions and performance development and calibration.
Experience of engine control and fuel injection systems, and calibration tools
Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks at any one time.

Skill sets required:
