Roles and Responsibilities
The person in question will be expected to interact with sales, production and development staff.
They will be responsible for ensuring the efficient manufacturing of all products to customer specifications and therefore a small amount of worldwide travel may be required to both customer and third party equipment supplier facilities.
At the quote stage they will work with sales, applications and R&D to determine the correct product realisation pathway.
At the contract review stage, where necessary they will liaise between sales and production to ensure the correct specification of product.
They will be responsible for documenting any necessary test or build processes for future reference (from concept to a comprehensive production package).
Creation / editing of BOMs in the MRP system.
Restructure BOMs in order to improve the throughput and reduce the cycle time of products.
Contribution to the Continuous Improvement Program, including efforts to improve quality, product cost and business productivity. Working with both internal production staff and external suppliers where required.
