We are looking for an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to work with our client in South East London.
The main purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive technical service to ensure that
potential disrepair, statutory nuisance, structural repairs and insurance claims against the client are dealt with, and to manage and monitor all works.
The successful applicant will be required to negotiate with tenants and their representatives to arrange access to properties. You will then carry out inspections and produce detailed specifications of work itemised from the schedule of rates, and prepare estimates, feasibility studies, plans, sketches, drawings and photos as required. You will be working independently and managing a variable caseload in relation to disrepair and insurance. Once the work is arranged you will be required to outsource work to subcontractors where necessary, and oversee all work carried out by the directly employed and subcontracted work force to ensure it is carried out to standard and within budget etc.
You will also be required to attend court to give evidence and help the court with technical issues so previous experience of this type of work is essential.
