The Role
This leading Consultancy offer excellent opportunity for candidates with CDM experience to work with their Technical staff in their Reading Office, and with Health & Safety staff in other offices, to further develop both in-house services and the services that are offered to clients in Health & Safety and CDM Co-ordinator roles.
The Person
Ideally, candidates should be graduates with NEBOSH Construction Certificate or IOSH qualifications, with 2-3 years practical Health & Safety experience gained within the Construction Industry, and registered APS CDM-C.
Key requirements are:
· Small project CDM-C experience is essential
· Complex Project experience is desirable
· CDM design risk management experience is essential
· NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate is essential
· Tech IOSH Membership is desirable
· Attendance at recognised CDM-C 3-day training course is desirable
· Good time management skills are essential
· Ability to manage 10+ small projects is essential
Candidates must also have good commercial understanding, be able to work with the minimum of supervision and be a team player.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on CDM Co-ordinator not a H&S generalist/consultant.

The Company
An exciting and very challenging opportunity exists working in the facilities management division of this International leading organisation. The position will entail managing the UK operation of a major multi-million pound total facilities contract.
Role Purpose
Responsible for the programme, and delivery of building and services repair and maintenance, you will ensure the buildings fabric and hard services are available to meet all statutory health and safety requirements and to meet corporate and user needs. You will also be responsible for ongoing management of the operation of energy, utilities, waste management and pest control again ensuring compliance with statutory and company regulations and meeting the environmental objectives set by both the company and client.
The Person
The ideal Hard services manager will exhibit the following essential technical competencies for the role:
Experience in a similar hard services role with formal a qualification HNC or equivalent (M&E or BC&E )
Experience in dealing with direct labour, sub-contractors and supply chain
Understanding of help desk/call centre processes and work flow
Significant experience of budget management and commercial awareness
Able to co-ordinate and manage planned and reactive services end-to-end
Collation of service data, detailed reporting and performance analysis
Valid formal Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH
The following technical competencies are desirable for the successful candidate:
• Proven track record in successful people management
• Experience of managing staff and dealing with HR issues
• Previous experience working for public service sector
• Holder of a full and valid driving licence
