Provides strong communication between shift teams, peers and manufacturing management.
Leads and manages the API production team to meet agreed schedules & targets on a shift by shift basis ensuring core training is current and up to date.
Evaluates the productivity and effectiveness on a day by day basis and challenges/steer recommendations for improvement. Supports Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) and Lean initiatives for the API Value Stream.
Provides opportunities and develops the production team so that the individual, the department and site needs are accomplishing the business demands for the present and future.
Ensures all business systems are maintained and supporting data collection/analysis is actively completed.
Ensures personnel policies and procedures are effectively managed within the work group.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Science or Engineering discipline desirable.
Experience in the pharmaceutical or a related industry.
Managerial experience in a demand driven environment.
Knowledge and experience of Lean principles
Good problem solving skills.
First aid trained.
