My Client is looking for a Project Manager on an initial 9 month contract. This role will be based in either Bristol or Bridgwater with visits to other client sites as/when required.
Working to a Programme Manager, you will be project managing the development of the full business case of a major client project. There will be other projects that the project manager will have the responsibility to deliver
Responsibilities:
(i)Shaping of a complex business change and technology project across multiple areas with the client
(ii)Lead on contractual obligations with multiple suppliers to develop a robust, clear and fit for purpose delivery model
(iii)Management of external an internal suppliers to deliver on the obligations and commitments set out in the FBC
(iv)Day to day management of project resources to ensure that tasks are implemented on time, on budget and to the required scope and quality
(v)Management of the production of the projects products. Including the management of the assurance review process for documents submitted by the supplier.
(vi)Management of the governance and control processes including risk and issue management and progress reporting. Including the assessment of risks and issues to be escalated to joint programme logs
(vii)Identification and management of dependencies within project streams, wider programme and areas of the business. Assessing impacts and putting in place dependency management and issue remediation plans
(viii)Manage resource plans and control / forecast financial spend against budget
(ix)Establish and lead a Project Team (internal and/or external staff)
(x)Produce and agree required Project Management products in line with PRINCE2 and the client delivery lifecycle method such as Project Initiation Documents, Project Plans, Test strategies and plans, Finance and Resource requirements.
(xi)Proactively manage all Project Management activities including project risks, issues, procurement, delivery, resource and implementation schedules
REQUIRED SKILLS
(1)Experience of developing, constructing and gaining approval of a Full Business Case of major IT projects >£5M and then to deliver the project to full implementation.
(2)Experience of working closely with business stakeholders to establish detailed technology and business drivers, establish the critical business benefits, establish clear and robust solution design, establish clear business change requirements
(3)Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously to tight delivery deadlines
MANDATORY
(1)Demonstrable Experience of a Project Management role in a large organisation with a complex IT environment
(2)Demonstrable experience of strong and successful management of large complex projects with an outsourced supplier.
(3)Demonstrable experience of delivering application development IT projects into a complex business environment within tight deadlines agreed time, cost and quality thresholds
(4)A qualified PRINCE2 practitioner;
(5)Developed and effective written and oral communication skills;
(6)A disciplined and analytical approach to complex issues with the ability to present clear pragmatic solutions;
(7)Able to build and sustain relationships with customers and colleagues.
(8)A working knowledge of relevant IS infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems) and the interaction between system components;

The successful candidate will have strong business process knowledge and hands-on experience of Oracle Retail (formerly Retek) Merchandising and Store Management. Experience on multiple versions of Oracle Retail/Retek is preferred.
Candidates require the following skills:
*Merchandise Operations Management - Oracle Retail Merchandising System, Price Management, Sales Audit. *Store Inventory Management. *Merchandising Planning and Optimization - Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning, Oracle retail Demand forecasting *Understanding of the underlying technology architecture in above platforms
