THIS JOB IS A CONTRACT POSITION HOWEVER MY CLIENT WILL CONSIDER PERMANENT STAFF.
The project is tasked with the systematic overhaul, repair and upgrading of the Tankage and associated Piping Systems. There will also be upgrades to the Tankage monitoring instrumentation and the Ocean Terminal Power Distribution system.
The project manager will lead a small multi discipline team of Contract and Staff personnel, reporting to the Delivery Manager.
The project team would normally be working on one tank and associated systems at any one time. Typical annual expenditure is circa £2,000,000 to £5,000,000
The project manager is responsible for;-
• Construction site Safety in conjunction with the Clients operation team.
• Compliance with CDM regulations
• Cost control of sanctioned projects.
• The delivery of projects to agreed scheduled
• Technical control of sanctioned projects
• Preparation of technical proposals for new project.
• The preparation of requests for funding for new projects
There is a similar larger remediation project in progress the Grangemouth Refinery Tank Farm. The Finnart Project Manager will be expected to maintain close links with the Refinery Project and will receive assistance when necessary from this team.
The candidate should be an experienced mechanical or instrument / electrical engineer with chartered status or qualifications leading to chartered status.
Experience of managing small to medium projects is essential.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate a successful and proactive attitude to safety management.
