It now seeks a quality professional who will progress to a role with overall responsibility for the quality function in 3 years.
The Challenge
To assume responsibility for internal and external auditing and the continued development of the quality management system.
To develop new quality standards and procedures and to ensure that the management system complies with the new requirements of ISO9001/2008.
Through improvements to the quality management system, to strive to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Although based in Scotland, the role requires international travel in order to undertake auditing activities at the company’s operations in Norway, Russia, Southern Europe and North Africa.
To deliver training in quality standards and standard operating procedures whilst working with the shopfloor to address quality issues and to audit internal functions.
The Candidate
Educated to degree level in an engineering/technical discipline, perhaps supported with professional quality management qualifications (MCQI), you will already be operating in a senior QA capacity with responsibility for auditing against ISO or other recognised quality standards.
Comfortable within a continuous improvement environment, you will have a good understanding of modern quality management tools.
IT literate, you will possess good influencing skills with the ability to flex your style in order to interact effectively at all levels.
Will be prepared to undertake regular overseas travel and be able to adapt to different cultures.
Should possess the potential to progress to more senior managerial positions.
