I have just taken on a new vacancy with an ambitious and growing software house who specialise in developing software for mobile devices (using Java/J2ME/C#) which are connected to scalable and redundant systems that utilise the supply of real-time data.
They have a relaxed working atmosphere with casual-dress, but the need for quality output delivered on time is still of the upmost importance, this ties in with the flexible approach that they take to working hours.
You will be involved in the full life-cycle of development, from analysis, to design, to meeting clients, taking on a position of genuine variety and responsibility. Consequently you will need to be a self-starter, adaptable and quick to learn, but above all have the ability to contribute more than just an opinion.
Mandatory skills include:
- Mobile (varied) and Server Development (Microsoft).
- Mobile J2ME, .NET Compact Framework, or Black-Berry.
- C# and/or Java (probably from a C++ background).
- Microsoft .NET v2+.
- SQL (SQL Server).
- Sockets, HTTP, Web Services, protocols as examples.
- Binary and XML Family data transfer.
The following are desirable:
- Analysis and Design Skills.
- HCI Skills.
