An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Innovative Materials Scientist with experience of Packaging, sustainable materials and processes or material conversion and manufacturing processes is required to join an incredibly successful and forward thinking technology development company. The Materials Scientist will use their breadth of experience of materials in Consumer products, FMCG packaging, healthcare devices /packaging. Knowledge of Electronic packaging would also be of interest as would polymers, packaging films, paper and paper handling and/or coatings technology.

The Materials Scientist will be supporting the client in :
Recommending and developing the most appropriate materials for new products and technology challenges Testing and Analysis of Materials Advisory Input to selection of materials Inputs to development of material conversion and manufacturing processes Solving problems in the manufacturing process Advise on the sustainability of materials, products and processes.
The Materials Scientist will have the following:
You would have an excellent degree of 2:1 or higher from a top institution in a scientific or related discipline (i.e. Chemistry OR Materials Science) A PhD would be great but not essential
The ideal candidate should have experience of:
· Sustainable materials and processes or material conversion and manufacturing processes Engineering design/development experience(beneficial but not essential) Consumer products, FMCG packaging, healthcare devices /packaging. Electronics would also be of interest to the client especially if this is related to polymers, packaging films, paper and paper handling and/or coatings technology. You will have experience in a similar technical role with a commercial focus. You will need to be personable and be interested in a role where you will be interacting with the client. You need excellent communication and have the ability to be clear and concise.
