|
This company is a leader within the off-site construction sector and has lead expertise in manufacturing, research and development and as a solutions provider. The Business Manager’s role is essential in assisting with the development of the business plan and growth. Working closely with the Business/Sales team and reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS:
To develop new and repeat profitable business through a personal network of contacts, cold calling, incoming enquiries and those generated via company and personal sector marketing initiatives. Initiation of own area campaigns and developing competitive tenders through OGC, www, trade press and knowledge of markets.
Use the Glenigan market knowledge software and trade journals to develop and CRM software to record, the knowledge of customers (and organisations influencing the customer decision making process), their business plans/targets, projects and the next actions to secure an early involvement/commitment.
Use the published sales process to formally record project details and provide an accurate and timely brief to colleagues within the Technical Department relating to the customer/project, requirements/key considerations/dates/financial parameters.
Gather information (project/customer/market/sector/competitor information) and report back to the appropriate Department so as to help correct/improve the accuracy for future outputs.
Work alongside colleagues to bring each project to a satisfactory conclusion allowing the company to secure positive testimonial references and an on time final account payment.
Deliver against specific, agreed personal KPI’s.
Flexibility and adaptability to change within the business
Promoting and adhering to the company's risk assessment/Health & Safety procedures at all times and reporting variations back to the Sales & Marketing Director.
To plan the geographic area and personal calendar to make most effective use of time and minimise expenditure.

PREFERED EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
3 years minimum selling into stated sectors; Health, Education, Social Housing, Hotels, Multiple Accommodation.
Selling to specifiers main contractors, public and governmental bodies
Experience of a key performance environment with proven success
Experience of large capital gains or a high value finance selling environment
Building or contracting background

|
SCOPE:
To support Sales team operation which would involve incoming sales/technical calls, order input, technical quotation, tooling design, liaison with production, will involve some production, stores & marketing tasks. Reporting to General Manager
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
At least 5 GCSE grade passes or equivalent.
Computer literate: Able to use Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, excel, Outlook) to record and look up data.
AutoCAD would be an advantage but not essential.
Will involve some system admin support.

MAIN DUTIES:
1. Taking sales calls and customer enquiries

5. Demo machine assistance including; demonstration, testing, R&D support and training
6. Become QA Champion and lead preventative maintenance on issues raised, help collate information for Quality assurance and become part of quality team to assess, audit and review knowledge of ISO 9001 procedures
7. Liaison with planning to check outstanding orders weekly and check priority orders
8. Assist in the upgrading and design of Training presentations & Marketing materials
9. IT/CRM system admin support
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for delivering accurate technical recommendations and deliverables.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ISO 9001 procedures, quality policy and work instructions.
Efficient handling of customer orders.
Upkeep and running of Demo Centre.
Must be aware of health and safety regulations relevant to the company.
