We are a well established Main Contractor within the construction industry and are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to work within the team out of the Northants office.
We specialise in Office, Industrial, Warehousing, Retail and mixed developments along with existing buildings throughout the UK.. We currently have 150 employees nationwide and are looking to expand our Northants office.
You will be required to manage projects ranging from £1million to £8million within a 50 mile radius of the office. Most projects will be Design and Build and include Warehouses, Offices, Industrial units etc.
The successful candidate will be capable of taking control and managing the entire build process on site, reporting to the Contracts Manager and Surveyor.
Candidates must preferably be computer literate, fully competent in all Health and Safety matters on site and be able to demonstrate confident management skills.

We are looking to recruit a new C&I Engineer where your key responsibilities will be the servicing, repair and fault finding of all control and instrumentation equipment and systems i.e. programmable logic controllers (PLC's) measuring systems, sensors, SCADA, control panels, protection systems and gas and fire systems. You will also be responsible for supervising contractors on site, monitoring equipment to identify early warning signs and potential improvements, liaising with other technicians and engineers to identify any issues or improvements. You will be responsible for parts and equipment specification and writing up specs for equipment, plant layout and equipment drawings and all in all we are also looking for someone who works to clean and efficient standards, who takes ownership for the work they are doing, who will maintain the best practice culture practiced on site, who is very safety focused and who is happy to participate in all activities on site and customers sites where need be.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of control and instrumentation systems, SCADA, Profibus and PLC's (fault finding and programming) and will have experience working in a power generation, manufacturing or process environment. You will also hold a current UK driving licence and be willing to travel to some clients sites.

You will be part of a team consisting of the Contracts Manager, Project/Site Manager and Site Staff. Together you will work to build construction projects on time and to budget, working closely and ensuring budget, design and programme constraints are achieved from the initial handover completion of the project.
You will be responsible (not exclusively) for:
•The commercial control of the contracts with the usual skills of client liaison for variations, valuations and final accounts
•Extension of time, notices of delays together with their evaluation and agreement
•Sub-Contract procurement/sub-letting including monitoring and control of payments, valuations variations and final account agreement
•Input and liaison with the project team and associated professionals eg. Architect and Engineers to ensure that the most cost effective design is being used
•Usually involved with typically between one to three projects at any one time. This is dependant upon size, nature and complexity of the projects
