You will undertake supply related specialist tasks as directed by the Supply Chain Manager and/or the Aero Programme Manager. * When required represent the Supply Chain Manager at supply related meetings in support of the C130 aircraft undergoing depth maintenance. * Lead the weekly spares progression meetings * Provide logistics and technical support and advice to the Marshall's buyers engaged in the progression of spares required to complete the servicing programme. * Act as the supply liaison between the LM Aero technical staff and the Marshalls logistics team. * Serve as a primary point of contact/interface for on-site LM Aero and Marshalls logistics staff involved in the progression of spares required for C130 J & K aircraft undergoing maintenance at the facility. * Monitor and provide best known delivery information for all backordered demands required * Providing specialist supply/support expertise to existing and future Contractor Logistics Support initiatives * Provide advice and assistance to the SCM on all supply related matters with emphasis on sourcing, provisioning and supply of critical spare part shortages for all Cambridge based aircraft. *Identify and support the development of more efficient and effective logistics business process. * Support as required the SCM report activity and action item closure activities. * Liaise on a day-to-day basis with the supply chain personnel, establishing priorities, obtaining delivery forecasts and updating repairs/spares information Desired & Required Skills: * Bachelor degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with at least 10 years of professional experience * At least 10 years recent experience with the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force or British Army as a specialist in one of the following disciplines: Supply and Movements, Transportation and Warehousing, Quartermaster General. * Relevant experience in a logistics staff role on an aircraft IPT within the DLO * Ability to work with personnel from different organisations, lead meetings made up of different groups in a consultative and motivational way that engenders respect * Intimate knowledge of military supply practices, procedures and associated information systems * Experience of front-line and deployed aircraft operations * Essential to have good strong IT skills and be familiar with Asset Management IT systems * Essential to have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel to at least an intermediate level * Essential to be able to demonstrate the intellectual calibre and confidence to conduct complex discussions with civilian and service customers and suppliers. * Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and work well in a team environment.
