We wish to appoint a Senior Stores Operator in the Signals Wing, reporting into the Stores Manager.
The key accountabilities of the job holder are as follows:
Maintaining various accounts on a day to day basis using the current management system (UNICOM, IFS and BCMS).
Applying / request for authorisation on demands from the Stores Manager or Warehouse Manager.
Demand, receive and issue stores using UNICOM on all accounts.
Updating serialised equipment issued off account and subsequently receipt replacement equipment to maintain an up to date special stores register (SSR)
Control Issue Transaction Summary (ITS) on all accounts including the break down of expenditure for budgetary purposes on behalf of the Stores Manager.
Carry out monthly information reports on the maintenance account, for the inspection by the Stores Manager.
Responsible for the storing, archiving and preparation of all accounting documentation for all internal and external audits.
Controls all freight notes and observes onward movement to destination.

Manufacturing Test Development Engineer
This team primarily supports the UK R&D headquarters and other worldwide R&D groups. They outsources all manufacturing to Contract Manufacturing Partners and are seeking a highly motivated individual for an additional Test Development Engineer (TDE) role.
The TDE role provides test engineering expertise for new and existing products or group of products. It requires a strong demonstration of core engineering skills, design concepts / principles and diagnostic capabilities.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Develop test programs and scripts for contract manufacturers for new (NPI) and existing products.
• Specifying the test equipment required and supervising its installation and training at the contact manufacturing site.
• Resolve product failure issues during manufacturing processes and RMA service centre.
• Engaging with the R&D teams to ensure that Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacture (DFM) are incorporated into the product development process
• Validate new software released on existing products, to ensure that it does not cause issue with the manufacturing tests that are in place.
• Design the test plan for product or groups of products.
Mandatory skills and experience
• A 2i or 1st class Honours Degree (MSc preferred) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science or related subject. The degree must have a significant hardware bias and will be supported by A or B grade A levels.
• Experience developing/writing tests for complex electronic hardware (ideally network or telecom products)
• Scripting language or object orientated language skills (they use Ruby and may adopt C++)
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Continuous Manufacturing Quality Improvement.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced optical designer to join our large and internationally renowned team.
In this role you will be responsible for the design of a very wide range of optical products. You will be involved in all stages of the design process, including defining target specifications with the customer, development of concepts, detailed design and analysis, through to support of the manufacturing, assembly and test processes.
• The role demands self-motivation, dedication and excellent communication skills.
• Applicants will require at least a good degree in Physics, or a relevant engineering discipline, although a Master’s degree in optics would be of considerable advantage.
