Salary c£75k + Substantial Bonus + Package/Equity

Location - London

Our client is a small fitout contractor. They operate in London and the South East and are well positioned to capitalise on further projects in these areas. Their core business is mainly refurbishment and fitout on projects between £100k and £5m. They have already delivered many projects successfully and are working with many blue-chip clients. They have a substantial pipeline of work in house and are hoping to significantly exceed last year’s turnover. They are now seeking someone to identify and help develop new opportunities for future business growth in the London market. You will be concentrating on sales and getting new business in. Some of their projects have included: a fitout and refurbishment project in Paddington £1.5m; several office restacks which have been carried out in the evenings and at weekends; a high end residential strip out, refurbishment and fitout, ward refurbishments for a Surrey Hospital and the fitout of a central London business club. They wish to build on these successes and achieve considerable growth over the next few years. There will be an opportunity for a stake in the business and this role will be a critical part in a small management team.

The role:
• Solid experience in the fitting out and refurbishment sector, including a bias towards commercial/offices, residential and hotel/leisure sectors would be an advantage
• You could be from an architectural background, surveying practice background or a fitout / refurbishment contractor
• Must be a “networker”; “out and about type of person”; used to impressing and influencing people”; someone who enjoys the front end of the process. Mixing with potential clients and consultants to identify leads/contacts in London on a daily basis.
• A good contact base with architects, quantity surveyors, project managers, property owners/managers and facilities managers.
• You will be self starting and autonomous, following up and gathering market intelligence and keeping your eye on what is happening in the London market.
• You will be commercially minded with a good understanding of how to build growth through profit rather than turnover. Their current model is a successful profit making machine.
• You will need to be independent, self sufficient, well organised, highly motivated and a good communicator

My client is seeking someone who knows the fitout/refurbishment sector well, someone who has worked in it extensively and succeeded. This role is an exceptional opportunity for a first class individual seeking a high profile role and a long term opportunity for personal and financial reward. In a small business where you will have a lot of responsibility and autonomy and where you will be part of the senior management team.
