Due to having won another new contract from a major PLC, our client requires a Cisco Network Support Engineer with excellent knowledge of Cisco hardware. Position based in Norwich and on client sites.
Technically, candidates will come from a Cisco Network Engineer / Network Support background and will have good commercial experience working in a Cisco oriented environment, with good knowledge of Firewall Security as well. Candidates with experience working within the IT support Sector are also highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting functions for the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) including the management of hubs, switches, routers, firewalls and servers.
After 3 months the focus of the role will be less Cisco based and more normal 2nd line helpdesk support to a range of clients covering desktops & servers. This will offer further areas for development.
