Project Engineer

A world leader in the global health and personal care sector with well known successful household brands and sites in over 60 countries has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer.

The Project Engineer will responsible for managing the planning and implementation of capital and revenue projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget, including identifying and actioning improvements. The projects will cover factory equipment, site services and process engineering. The role will also be responsible for the adherence with relevant health and safety guidelines throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Examples of projects are feasibility studies, equipment specifications, supplier selections, managing budgets, commissioning and validation.

The role requires a degree in Engineering or related subject and a background in Project Engineering. Project Management skills are essential and ideally you will have worked within a Pharmaceutical or FMCG environment previously.

This is a great role for an individual with an engineering background (ideally having achieved Chartered Status) who has a proven track record of managing projects. The size and scope of projects is considerable - anything from single installations to relocation of assets to introducing whole production lines.

Youll manage every aspect of the project, including:
· Working with the Operations and Engineering Teams to identify projects that would generate a business benefit
· Developing project proposals and costings and monitoring progress against budget
· Managing the installation/movement of equipment whilst adhering to health and safety and food safety standards
· Engaging, coaching, supporting and mentoring all those involved in the project(s)

Experience in a similar role is a must for this role. Experience in food manufacturing is preferred, but not essential, although you will need to have a good understanding of food hygiene issues.
