Our client is a growing niche retailer that has successfully developed their business through retail stores and e-commerce. They currently have an opportunity for a Merchandising Logistics Manager with overall responsibility for stock and inventory. This position is based at their Head Office in Buckinghamshire.
Responsibilities include;
o Managing the allocation of stock from the warehouse to stores, optimising availability to support sales and physical merchandising
o Working within the WSSI plan and changing needs of the business. This includes forward planning to support promotions, product launch, catalogues and intake priorities
o Managing the movement of stock around the business to rebalance levels if necessary and facilitate returns to the warehouse for redistribution
o Providing exceptional reporting relating to stock availability as required
o To become the expert in the operation of the company's merchandise system
o Improving efficiency of the current system and processes both at the centre and in store
o Monitor the allocations generated by our Merchandising systems and compare to the planned delivery schedules maximizing efficiency
o To manage processes to support the stocking in of new stores.
o Liaise with the warehouse and distribution team to agree principles for physical stock picking, store deliveries, pallet max and store delivery schedules.
You will have;
o Commercial experience of inventory and stock trading patterns within retail.
o Line management experience and the ability to develop your team.
o Significant inventory merchandising management within retail and e-fulfilment.
o Strong Excel skills and experience of replenishment systems.
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, working hours will be Monday to Friday with flexibility to meet the needs of the business. Opportunities for career progression are good.
