About the role.
The door knocking officers will be actively involved in the promotion of recycling, composting and waste minimisation initiatives across the City and County of Swansea. This will result in increased in weights of recyclable materials being collected and more householders participating in the service.
Through knocking doors in specified areas and talking to residents you will promote recycling services with a view to achieving measurable increases in the amount of materials collected for recycling. You will be encouraging people who do not recycle to start and people who do recycle to recycle more.
Requirements
The ability to work as part of a team.
Knowledge of the recycling targets and local recycling.

Reporting to Regional Quality Compliance Manager, the main purpose of this position is to provide Quality based expert advice and support to the Business and production people in the plants within his region and to be the Champion in Quality related fields at plant/regional level.
The successful applicant will provide fact based improvement advice to the business in the field of Quality, according to the Companies guidelines and policies.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide technical specialist support to Brewery sites including Contract Brewers/Packers
• Individually as Quality Technical Specialist
• As part of cross functional BS team where required
Identifying, capturing and spreading knowledge/best practice within Zone via Standard Operating Procedure process
Liaise with Logistics, Sales and Marketing (plus external legislative bodies when applicable) regarding Quality related issues through Supply Chain to POP/POS
Auditing (Annual and ‘Troubleshooting’)
• Food Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices/Healthcheck
• Troubleshooting, e.g. Quality issues
• Analytical (if technical specialist)
• Micro (if technical specialist)
Assist by Quality Compliance audits (HACCP, GMP, Product integrity,..) in the plants as defined by Corporate services
Develop action plans in conjunction with Plants and follow up
BAPS, Zone analysis, overview zone/sites, highlight and follow up issues e.g. if micro specialist
Assist with establishment and evolution of Zone Brewery Support structure
QMS; assist with standardising across Zone i.e. BNL/IUK
• IT/Systems interphase
Support Call Centre training if required, e.g.
• Quality Assurance Web; what is in there and where
• Analysis/interpretation of calls where required for support
Assist Regional Quality Compliance Manager with tracking unit performance, identifying ‘gaps’ and define improvement plans
Quality related ‘troubleshooting’ and problem solving:
• Quality support to chronic problems
• Identify training needs
• Provide specialist training
Development, implementation and management of operational standards:
• Development of product documents L3
Market programme management; quantifying consumer/customer quality at POP/POS
Supplier SQA
• Leads the audits and Complaint management
• Guide the Quality Compliance element of ‘Yearly Supplier Evaluation’
• Assists in building, implementing and monitoring specs/Supplier factory audit criteria/min mandatory sampling plans/complaints follow up/KPI follow up
Standard Operating Procedure development:
• Capture knowledge as it is today
• Develop ‘specialist’ procedures for application across European zone
• Identifying, capturing and spreading knowledge/best practice e.g. identified via audits
• Roll out within zone via updating SOP’s
The Individual
• Good knowledge of the production process (from Brewhouse to final product)
• Knowledge of statistical process control
• Experience in Quality Control /Quality Assurance. (At least 3 years)
• Good in building relationships
• High level Quality consciousness
• High levels of ‘drive’ and ‘energy
• Proactive and flexible approach
• Flexible to undertake short-term assignments abroad.
• Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent

Our client a family run business that has been established for over 10 years who specialise in the used car market and who operate a repair and bodyshop are currently looking to expand.
They are currently seek a timeserved mechanic to work within their auto and repair centre in Gorseinon on a full time basis. The successful candidate will work within a small team of 4 and would require the following skills and experience:-
1. Strip down and repair of manual and automatic engines, clutch and gearboxes.
2. Diagnostic and electrical repairs and servicing
3. Interior repairs and replacements
4. Tyre replacement and fitting (preferred but not essential)
Our client are offering a 12 week temporary contract which will turn permanent for the successful candidate with a standard Monday to Friday working week 08.30 - 17.30 at £7.50 per hour.
