Our client a cmpany within the computer games industry are looking to expand their finance team and are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk.
The Purchase Ledger Clerk is primarily responsible for:
Overhead Invoices
1.Coding, inputting, Authorisation of all invoices, and credit notes in a timely manner.
2.Reconciliation of all overhead supplier statements prior to monthly cheque run to ensure that ALL invoices are being paid within payment terms.
3.Follow procedure on inputting non-stock purchase invoices onto system matching against Purchase Orders raised.
4.Ensure these invoices are authorised by the relevant department manager prior to filing and payment.
5.Raising monthly debit notes to suppliers for chargebacks and adhoc charges including all necessary and relevant backup to support these claims.
6.Run Monthly payment run by BACS and Cheque.
Stock Invoices
7.Match Stock invoices to Purchase Orders and input all invoices prior to last working day of the month.
8.Ensure these invoices are authorised by the relevant department manager prior to filing and payment.
9.Work with other departments to resolve all queries that arise with invoicing issues.
10. Run Monthly payment run by BACS and Cheque.
Consignment Accounts
11.Processing consignment statement for all suppliers and sending monthly reports to each supplier on consignment terms.
12.Assist Payables manager with payment run for each Consignment account monthly.
Employee Expenses
13.Code, Input and authorise employee expenses according to the company expense policy.
14.Run Weekly payment run by BACS for all outstanding expenses.
Admin
15.Reconcile and input monthly Petty Cash journal.
16.Main point of contact for staff needing post franked and sending out each day.
17.Reconciling and uploading of monthly intrastat data.
18.Keeping up to date records of foreign VAT amounts, to be reclaimed when necessary.
19.Main point of contact for staff needing stationery and the upkeep of stationery cupboards.
20.Reconciling/analysing Freight Charges, Packaging and 3rd Party Warehouse and Marketing costs onto internal excel sheet.
21.Daily/Weekly filing of invoices and payments.
22.Inputting monthly journals onto the system in conjunction with Payables Manager and Finance Manager.
23.Adhoc duties which may arise.
Must have Purchase Ledger experience and be a car driver.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Experience/Qualification requirement:
(Essential)
•Educated to Graduate level or equivalent
•Proven senior level Sales Manager, Vendor Manager or New Business Development experience with a major player in the European Games Industry.
•A minimum of 10 years experience within a distribution or Publishing field, essentially within the Home Entertainment (DVD/Film) Industry.
•Proven experience of multiple major AAA acquisition deals and launch plans with recognised Official Chart results.
•Must be able to demonstrate and sustain extensive senior level Film/DVD Industry contacts at CEO/MD/Director level and demonstrate defined networking paths within the given Industry.
•Extensive networking and social interaction required outside of working hours.
Highly numerate and analytically minded with the ability to manage multiple work steams and adhere to strict deadlines.
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
•Experienced used of MS Office – Excel/Word/Powerpoint/Access, SAP/Strategix, Lotus Notes
