Senior Retail Merchandiser

My client is a well established and leading multi channel fashion retailer with an exceptional reputation for quality and service.

Key Skills

The ideal candidate should have experience of:-

• Proposing and delivering against sales ,stock ,margin targets.
• Forecasting sales /margin at category / line level.
• Planning & controlling stock levels
• Planning discount & markdown activity to ensure optimum sell through
• Range planning techniques (to control width,depth,structure of range)
• Open to buy control -ensuring stock purchase is in line with sales projection.
• Stock distribution techniques (to optimise customer demand ,available selling space etc)
• Analysing sales and reacting to trends.
• They must be systems literate (good knowledge of excel etc)
• They should be highly analytical & numerate.

There is a base of processes and reports already in place that cover the major merchandising functions within the business however there are also areas where an experienced merchandiser can add value particularly, though not exclusively, in:

• Detailed retail branch analysis,
• OTB and WSSI management ;
• Overseeing the daily mechanics of goods intake and sales.

You will have 4 reports within the department. This position offers an excellent opportunity to prove yourself within a national brand and it offers excellent opportunities to progress.
