Manage the day to day technical relationship with customers& suppliers, regarding BU product and activities. To develop commercial awareness with a view to being involved with procurement and sourcing and assist the BU in developing the business Duties And Responsibilities Supplier focus Manage supplier profiles. Maintain approved supplier and grower lists. Maintain due diligence across supply base. Manage annual pesticide/Micro risk assessment. Scheduling of analytical testing to meet risk assessment requirements (and/or customer/ internal requirement). Learn and understand farming practices/crop husbandry across product range.Overseas auditing and visits against agreed plan recommend and implement corrective actions and management of budget accordingly. Manage and drive Vendor Assurance Active involvement in procurement decisions and pro-active management of current/pending raw material issues Drive product focus for own category giving immediate quality feedback to buyers and the suppliers and monitoring on-going situation. Customer Focussed Plan and control customer visits. Where necessary plan and orchestrate customer visits to source Formally follow up all rejections and warnings Maintain compliance with agreed customer specifications ensuring that relevant personnel are aware of changes to systems.
