You will also ensure the standard of the department is maintained via effective management of your team. Applicants will have a good standard of education and at least supervisory retail experience previously. Candidates will have a fashion background and be aware of the merchandising practices involved. Highstreet experience is essential.

The role requires a manager to lead, supervise and work within the Fresh Fish Preparation Team; ensuring product is managed and processed to meet customer requirements and the requirements of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Regulations. The key accountabilities of the role include: Ensuring the Goods Returns System is adhered to. Rotation and counting of stock and use of the dot system. Implementation and execution of relevant Health and Safety statutes. Completion of temperature sheets and statutory paperwork on a daily basis. Ensuring the training of all staff in the Fresh Fish Preparation Team and managing the safety and compliance of all staff and visitors to that area. Organising team members, in terms of hours of work and holidays. Providing relevant information about stock levels to Fish Buyer and Branch Manager (BM).
