Job Title: Store Cleaning Manager - Services Sector
Location: Downpatrick, County Down
Salary: £17,500 + bonus, pension scheme & private medical
You will be entitled to join the Store Cleaning Manager’s Bonus Scheme, after a qualifying period, earning up to £1K subject to achieving set performance targets.
My client is a major UK Facilities Management Company employing over 10,000 people with an impressive client base, including a major UK Supermarket Retailer.
Our client is looking for an experienced Store Cleaning Manager whose job it will be to achieve consistently the hygiene standards laid down within company targets and objectives, by leading and coaching the cleaning team to deliver the results expected within a large supermarket store.
Key Responsibilities:
To ensure cleaning duties are delivered as specified in company targets, allocating priorities and monitoring standards.
To actively promote and encourage open communication.
To monitor and control documentation.
To recruit and train colleagues in accordance with Company procedures.
To deliver a high standard of customer service.
To adhere at all times to all company Health & Safety Rules and Regulations.
To carry out any other duties as directed by management to support the needs of the business.
Ideal candidates will have a proven background in Retail Cleaning Management but we also welcome applicants who have Management experience in retail, catering, facilities.
Candidates must have full valid driving licence and their own vehicle and live within 30 minutes drive of Downpatrick.
This role is for 40 hours a week and is 5 days out of 7 (it does include some weekends but it would not be every weekend), candidates must be prepared to work some early morning shifts, some day shifts and some evening shifts.

Our client has over 400 stores throughout the UK and employ over 4,500 people. Their markets cover areas as diverse as High Street, Tourist and Destination Sites, and it’s this variety of location and the products they provide that helps contribute to an annual turnover of over £350 Million.
They are now looking for a Senior Group Management Accountant for their head office which is in Langholm, Dumfriesshire.
Key Responsibilities:
• Co-ordinate the preparation of monthly management account for the group trading companies including reviewing the accounts with the team prior to initial draft submission to the Group Finance Director. Ensure accounts are produced according to a strict timetable
• Co-ordinate the budgeting and forecasting process. Produce the budget and forecasted P&L, Cashflow and Balance Sheet in line with the budge timetable using Khalix. Attend and support the Group Finance Director at budget review meetings with heads of functions and with particular focus on budgetary cost containment
• Produce the Year End management accounts in line with the year end timetable. Produce the Year end files and ensure all are complete for review by the Group Financial Controller
• Develop a good all round understanding of the processes and procedures behind the production of the financial figures in order to continually develop and enhance the service levels that the department provides to the business
• Maintenance of the key financial systems being Dream and Khalix
• Attend the weekly sales meeting and provide financial information for decision making including analysis of weekly, monthly and year to date KPI’s.
• Develop ad hoc analysis requested at the sales meeting and liaise with the IT department to ensure reports are relevant, correct and add value to the business decision making process
• Provide financial support to the Commercial Director for capital investment decisions including store openings and refits. Also provide ad hoc support for commercial decisions regarding store performance
• Management of a team of 10 management accountants, each at differing stages of their careers and studies. Motivate the team to meet the tight reporting deadlines and monitor any potential bottlenecks in the accounts / budget / forecast process. Ensure the financial controls are maintained and that suspense accounts are up to date and satisfactorily reconciled by each member of the team
• Oversee the work of the Property Accountant and ensure that the Property Management System (PropMan) is being operated effectively.
• Oversee the work of the Sourcing Accountant sufficiently to ensure that all relevant financial information is provided to the Sourcing team, along with the explanation of key financial variances and the measurement of KPI’s.
• Work with both the Estates and Property maintenance functions to ensure that appropriate processes are implemented and maintained
• Designated authorised signatory for electronic BACS payments
• Provide ad hoc financial and performance analysis where required across a range of areas within the business
• The main finance department contact for retail based initiatives such as the new biometric time and attendance system.
• The development of good working relationships with the operations teams, including Store Managers, Area Managers and Regional Controllers
