This organisation provides design, installation and service of submersible pumps for all types of activities involving water, sewerage and drainage. Formed over 30 years ago and with a turnover in excess of £15m, they are a leader in their field and a well respected name.
Through company expansion they have a need for a professional Business Development Manager to source and manage new business within their designated patch.
This is a consultative selling role spending 70% of your time generating new business and 30% developing existing accounts. You will provide and maintain, on an ongoing basis, a record of activities, sales figures, forecasting, quotation activity and any other records which may be required, prepare and send quotations in accordance with the company’s price lists to customers where opportunities have been identified and ensure that all targets are met.
You will be self motivated, driven, pro-active and ambitious, organised with a structured approach to the selling process. Proven experience of (service) business development to the Facility Management, Property Management or Construction sectors is preferred however a background in selling capital machinery and equipment to these sectors would be considered.
An understanding of the water and waste water services market would be an advantage.
You will be home based and will be expected to spend time at their Hampshire head office, a mature approach is essential therefore.
