You must have at least 2 years experience in a nursery setting and previous room management is an advantage. This is an integral role within the nursery, you will be leading and managing a team of 3 staff and you will have up to 25 children within the room. You must have excellent leadership and motivational skills and ability to implement the EYFS and move the room forward. THIS POSITION HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD INTO A DEPUTY MANAGERS ROLE With excellent EYFS knowledge you will oversee the planning and development of the curriculum, and assess staff training needs. The nursery operates the key worker system as well as the free flow system. There is a good routine in the nursery which needs you to be organised so everything can be achieved throughout the day. The owner and Manager is looking for someone who has the potential to move into a deputy role, where you will open and close the nursery, be part of the management team and support the Nursery Manager. This is a lovely new nursery which is already achieving well with a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted, they have reached full occupancy with enquiries coming in every day. The outdoor space has been done exceptional well with excellent use of space. There are 3 floors with the under 3’s being on the 2nd floor and the over 3’s downstairs.
