We’re looking for somebody to provide a year's maternity leave cover for our Payroll Clerk. The appropriate candidate would have previous experience in working in payroll department, recording sickness, maternity and holiday.
The ideal candidate would have previous experience in using Sage within payroll environment.
The person we're looking for will ideally already be doing this work elsewhere or will have done it in the recent past. You will be THE payroll person, responsible for every aspect of the work including all year end activity, sickness, maternity, and holiday recording, cash recording, purchase ledger work, in fact anything in accounting and administration with which you feel comfortable.
You will not be the only person with knowledge of payroll in the office but you will be expected to become the expert eventually. If there is any particular aspect of the work with which you are unfamiliar training can be provided, and we anticipate a month's work with the current post holder who is extremely thorough and will provide an excellent handover as well as completing all the current year's year end work.
You will need to speak Polish because you will need to communicate with the workforce, many of whom will come to you for advice (and not just on payroll). A number live on site and ask us to help them with domestic issues, which we're happy to do. It certainly makes your work more interesting!
Hours of work are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday morning when deadlines need to be met.

• Ensures that personnel and aircraft crews follow all safety and procedural requirements as mandated by Forward Operating Bases
• Works with military units to maximise the utilisation and operational effectiveness of aircraft
• Provides innovative and creative solutions to problems
• Works with Management to ensure proper life support on Forward Operating Bases
• Liaises with Military Movement Control units to ensure proper and timely aircraft loading and unloading
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience in a leadership role in an adverse or conflict area, covering personnel management, logistics issues, problem solving and critical thinking
• Ability to work harmoniously in an international, dynamic and multicultural environment
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and be highly organised
• Able to manually load/unload aircraft cargo as necessary up to 4,400lbs per flight
• Ability to adapt to organisational change in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines
• Willingness to fly in company aircraft to ensure delivery of cargo throughout Afghanistan
Preferable Skills and Qualifications:
• Former military Non Commissioned Officer
• Technical Skills in Microsoft office programs, emphasis will be on MS Access, excel, word, power point, outlook, and MS Publisher. Training from a recognised institution of higher learning is preferred with work experience of at least 1 year in an aviation environment. However, demonstrative work proficiency will be acceptable.
• Experience in an aviation related industry
• Farsi or Russian language abilities
