With a well established global customer base, they are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager with a proven track record of generating profitable sales ideally associated with capital equipment or component manufacturing in these sectors. He/she will be responsible for winning business from both existing and potential new customers and will work closely with a network of established agents in Europe, Asia, North America and Russia. The person appointed will also be involved in the preparation of tenders and subsequent negotiations with Clients to win the business. Excellent collaborative relationships will need to be developed and maintained internally with design, manufacturing, procurement and finance to facilitate a clear understanding and delivery of customers expectations. The achievement of agreed sales budgets is one of the major KPIs associated with this role.
This appointment will necessitate a good deal of travel both within the UK and overseas. The development of good working relationships with existing and potential customers will be an essential part of this role.
Candidates should ideally be qualified to degree level in an appropriate engineering discipline and have a clearly demonstrable track record in winning profitable new business, as well as successful account management. Experience of selling capital equipment and precision component manufacturing services within the aerospace and / or industrial power sectors is essential. Experience of EDM, ECM and Laser machining systems would be extremely useful.

THE ROLE
This role is required to control all production activities of the site and to ensure customer requirements are met whilst constantly seeking to improve Company performance in all areas of responsibility.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are,
Control of all manufacturing activity within the factory i.e. machining, assembly, PFD and benchwork
Day to day deployment of Stores personnel at the facility
Day to day deployment of Inspection personnel at the facility
Ensure that production output is achieved to meet customer delivery schedules, monthly and annual budgetary targets and maintenance of total customer satisfaction
Monitor and control production costs
Control stock in the working area minimising scrap and WIP stock to the lowest possible levels
Recruitment, deployment, discipline, terms of conditions and other personnel issues of all employees for whom responsible in accordance with Company policy and procedure
Develop, a cohesive team of operating staff excelling in high customer service performance levels
Develop the full use of staff resources (through formal Performance Appraisal as appropriate), setting realistic performance targets and reviewing achievements against the targets
Motivate the manufacturing team on a group and individual level to constantly enhance efficiency and quality
Liaise with all functions to develop smooth services to all customers. Improve service levels by streamlining the workflows and concentrating on the added value activities
