Reporting into the Production Manager, whilst managing a team of production operatives and process controllers you will be mainly responsible for running a factory process in a manner which ensures all required standards of safety, quality and legality are met, whilst meeting set targets.

Accountabilities:
To monitor, record and control to check your process is keeping up with the production plan
To regularly check you are using the agreed amount of people for the job
To regularly check you are using the correct quantity of materials, and to calculate the total quantity used at the end of each job
To conduct a pre-start safety check and regularly check your process area and your team members behaviour
To know the companies quality standards for each product and ensure all process checks are conducted to the required standard
To know the relevant QMS, SOP, HACCP procedures for your area and ensure they are complied with
To know the GMP standards relevant for your area and ensure they are complied with
To know the required documentation standards and ensure they are complied with
To know all SOP, job roles, and policies applicable to your area and ensure all staff comply with them
To plan and manage your team’s timekeeping, absence, holiday and training to ensure you can achieve your main accountabilities

Our client has the requirement for a Technical Manager with High Risk chilled food experience to join them on a permanent basis.
The role responsibility include:
· Direct responsibility for factory hygiene, the implementation of company policies/procedures and product quality.
· Ensure all records are maintained and comply with company/customer policies, implement any further checks that may be necessary.
· Departmental self-assessment must be undertaken on a regular basis to ensure that we are proactively meeting our customers needs.

· Liaise with MHS personnel to achieve and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and product quality in all areas of the factory using the H.A.S. score system as a benchmark.
· To deal with enquiries made by external bodies such as Trading Standards and Health and Safety Executive ensuring all relevant information is passed to senior management.
· Update all specification files ensuring relevant personnel receive copy of amended documents.
BASIC HOURS: 7.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday
Some overtime may be required at short notice.
OVERTIME INCLUDING WEEKENDS:
Due to the nature of the business some overtime on Saturday and Sunday may be required.
