Overall Purpose of the Job:

5. Preparation of sauces and various samples for assessment, individually and with benchmarked products. Log the results and feedback and where necessary follow up with the supplier to make any changes necessary.
6. The Preparation of samples for the customers, including tray, film lid and carton where applicable. Products need labelling and brief specifications prepared outlining basic points such as Name, Weight, Ingredients and cooking instructions.
7. Arrange for any samples to be delivered via own transport, third party agent (e.g. UPS) or collected by another.
8. Weekly in house taste panels produced against competitors products, to an agreed schedule. Collation of all comments and feedback in a report and issue all departments via email the findings and reports.
9. Attend Managers meeting and brief all departmental heads in the absence of the BDM.
10. Customer complaints relating to development issues only. Retained samples assessed and reports prepared on findings, against the product specification.

Role Outline:
The Supervisor is responsible for employing resources, specifically materials and labour and converting these to finished product. Throughout this process the following standards must be met: food safety; quality; customer service; health and safety and materials and labour cost. -Food and health and Safety: ensure compliance with health and safety standards with operation regulatory compliance, non-conforming product management, corrective and preventative action and food safety at the appropriate level and monitor adequate execution.
-Microbiology: ensure microbiological sampling, keeping to schedules, maintain standards and recording results. Follow up on results which fall below standard according to legislation and customer specifications.
-Cleaning operations: effectively manage the cleaning operations. Ensure that cleaning processes are satisfactory for commencement of production at all times maintaining cleaning schedules and collating cleaning audits. Attain required hygiene levels, including pest controls and laundry.
-Documentation: ensure all quality, technical and environmental documentation, check and tests are up to date. Detail and documentation of all reports produced. Develop and improve all quality and environmental manuals. -Customer Liaison: deal with day-to-day customer and consumer quality issues.
