Leading aerospace company in the West Midlands are currently seeking an experienced Project Planner on an initial 6 month contract.

The suitable Project Planner will be supporting the Programme management team to support a number of tasks.

As the project planner you will be maintaining, updating and reporting the status of the project timeline as well as producing and maintaining the project measures of performance (MOP's).

Experience in making sure visual management is kept up to date would be an advantage for this role as well as providing the admin assistance to the programme management team.

We are looking for someone who has good project planning experience and has good knowledge and experience of electrical, electronic software. Knowledge of aerospace components would be an advantage along with MS project software experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

The suitable electronic systems/application engineer will be degree qualified and have experience in working with control systems.

We are looking for someone with a good aerospace, automotive, rail, off road vehicles or industrial automation experience and good experience in using DOORS software. Knowledge of aircraft components would be an advantage.

Main duties of the role will include writing specifications for actuation system components, liaising with suppliers and managing projects using DOORS.

The suitable electronic systems/application engineer will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in mechanical actuation system design in areas such as aircraft, trains, automotive or off-highway vehicles as well as having experience in writing specifications for actuation system components and be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.

As Head of Projects you will lead multi-disciplinary project teams across multiple sites. This is a senior position and requires individuals with the gravitas to lead experienced teams as well as instil confidence with clients. The position of Head of Projects comes with the responsibility for the delivery of 60% of the companies' turnover and it's essential that you demonstrate experience in this area in order to be considered.

We are looking for strong leaders who can demonstrate best practice project delivery methodologies and possess the characteristics and experience to ensure that the company consistently provides exceptional service. It is assumed that you will be able to demonstrate past experience with leadership and supervisory skills, as well as having a client facing responsibility. Encompassed within this should be excellent presentation and written word skills.

The position requires individuals with sound financial acumen, and you should be able to demonstrate previous examples of budget management and complex financial cash flows. We are looking for experience with large projects either mechanical, electrical or systems engineering. You will be educated to degree level and ideally hold a formal accreditation for Prince 2 or a similar recognised project management course. You should also have good general IT acumen with software such as Microsoft office suite and MRP systems and project management software.
