A challenging opportunity has arisen for a Graduate calibre Support Programmer to join a technically advanced company who have won multiple awards for their commitment to developing employees.
This role would suit a recent Graduate who can demonstrate an interest and aptitude with the .Net framework, SQL Server and Search Engine Marketing / Search Engine Optimisation (SEM / SEO). Alternatively, applicants will have some basic commercial development experience, or have supported web-based applications in the ASP.Net / C# / SQL Server environments.
Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
You will gain exposure to the latest versions of .Net, including ASP.Net 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, C#, SQL Server 2005 and have the opportunity to get involved in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). The role is Support Programmer is extremely important to my client, and will require you to give support to high value, cutting edge software in an increasingly important area of online business activities.
Responsibilities:
• Undertake nominated support programming and processing tasks and reports as directed by the Technical Lead.
• Managing issues including analysing and investigating, escalating complex and critical issues to the line manager, effective communication with users and other member of the technical team, updating relevant documentation and issue closure.
• From time to time, undertake nominated system development and programming tasks as directed by the Technical Manager.
• Contribute toward the effectiveness of the development team through involvement in discussions covering all aspects of the department’s technical role, including: architecture, system design, operating procedure, etc.
To be considered, suitable applicants must demonstrate an interest in working with cutting edge technologies and have a genuine interest in SEM (Search Engine Marketing) and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). You will have some experience with ASP.Net or C# and be familiar with SQL Server, ideally 2005; however version 7 and 2000 skills are also useful. Any skills in developing ASP, VB6, and SQL Server would be beneficial, although this is not essential.
It is essential to possess a positive, can do attitude, with the ability to communicate with colleagues and peers in a professional manner.
