Our client is looking to recruit a technical assistant for their development department. In this role you will provide skilled support to the ink jet printing process development team assisting with the development of ink jet printing processes and metrology. It will be your responsibility to provide reliable and timely execution of experiments including the production of ink jet deposited substrates. This will involve handling fluids and fine chemicals, surface preparation of substrates and the operation of ink jet print process equipment.
You will ideally have a degree or HND in Physical Sciences, Chemistry or Engineering plus experience of working in a laboratory and/or clean room environment. Previous knowledge of working with complex electromechanical equipment would be preferred. In this role you will use ink jet printing equipment and associated metrology, vacuum and glove box equipment.
With exceptional interpersonal skills, you must be able to work on your own initiative and have good organisational skills and strong attention to detail. You should also be able to prioritise effectively and to work unsupervised for long periods without losing touch with the aims of the team. You should have an aptitude for proactively solving technical problems, whilst knowing when to seek expert assistance. You must also have the ability to react quickly and appropriately to changing priorities and unexpected demands. Computer literacy is important and you must be familiar with Windows XP and Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of statistical software packages would be beneficial.

Our client is looking for a temporary IT Support to provide value-adding and effective IT services and support to the company, which will in turn assist in the execution of the company's strategy.
You will be responsible for co-ordinating IT support at the Godmanchester site as well as being responsible for specified systems.
