An established further educational college paying up to £34,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience) is looking for a Marine Engineering teacher to join their Engineering team.
The college also offers a Government grant in the second year, a final salary pension contribution by the employer and up to 40 days paid annual leave on a 37 hour a week.
This position requires:
• a degree minimum qualification in Marine Engineering
• teaching experience and/or qualifications or the desire to get in to teaching
(and preferably a Certificate of Competency)
The successful Marine engineer will be required to plan and deliver on a number of engineering courses to city and guilds and NVQ requirements to apprentice marine engineers
and will be motivated to teach apprentice engineers to be successful in the Marine Engineering industry.

Head of Engineering Department: You will be working for an established further educational college paying up to £42,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience), a Government grant in the second year, plus a final salary pension contribution by the employer and up to 40 days paid annual leave on a 37 hour a week contract.
You should have:
•Extensive lecturing or training experience in engineering subjects
•a teaching qualification (Cert Ed teaching degree, PGCE or equivalent and NVQ Assessor and Verifier Awards)
•You should also have extensive experience in either one or more fields of Engineering, being a time served engineer, holding either a City & Guilds Part 3, HND, HNC or Degree minimum qualification.
This role has been established to ensure a rigorous and systematic approach to the management, development and delivery of quality teaching and learning across the Engineering Department. Curriculum Coordinators will ensure high standards in learner retention and achievement, internal and external assessment grades and learner satisfaction.
