You will be responsible for strategic direction, managing, developing and leading high performance of the Work Choice partnership network across UK based in Swindon.
Reporting to the Director of Work Choice, the Work Choice Direct Manager is responsible for the operational management of the Work Choice Direct Service providing national support for the Work Choice Programme.
The main duties include:
1. To manage the delivery of an effective Work Choice Direct service ensuring that contractual specifications/targets are met and quality standards implemented and monitored to a consistent national standard, working with Work Choice Contract Managers to ensure the sharing of best practice throughout the organisation.
2. To ensure that the Work Choice Direct offers a good quality service with responsive and cost effective outcomes, enabling the maximum number of customers to progress into appropriate, sustainable employment in line with performance indicators set by the organisation.
3. To ensure that operational budgets are managed effectively, ensuring that client targets are met. To monitor budget variances and ensure corrective action is taken.
4. To work with the Regional Partnership Managers, Work Choice Contract Managers, Work Choice Contract Team Leaders, Sub-Contractors and the National Performance Team to review performance indicators prepare evaluation frameworks and contribute to the effective evaluation of the service ensuring a consistent approach across the organisation.
5. To support and contribute to the planning process, by monitoring contract package area plans to meet agreed objectives/strategies.
6. To ensure that customers have access to the full range of services, and on securing employment receive on-going support as required.
7. To work with the Regional Partnership Managers and Work Choice Contract Managers in effectively marketing services to potential customers, key stakeholders and the general public, fully utilising internal Employer Engagement resources.
8. To ensure productive and effective working relationships with both private and statutory partner organisations.
9. To manage and develop a strong Work Choice Direct team, ensuring that line managed staff receive guidance, support and recognition of their development needs through regular appraisals, reviews, and personal development plans.
10. To effectively manage performance of staff following guidelines provided through the Performance Management toolkit, tackling any issues as appropriate and ensuring that individual and team performances are met.
Other duties include key stake holder management, team development, and ensuring full contract compliance at all stages of delivery.
The successful person will have signification experience in leading through a highly target-driven employment related service or similar, and be comfortable in both strategic and operational capacities.
You will also experienced in motivating teams to deliver a high performance management culture within a sub-contractor framework, and be well connected in various public/private sector bodies, with excellent partnership and stake holder management skills. You will have further experience of managing budgets, and the ability to plan resources effectively, and interpret necessary MI during the contract period.

7. To attend and have significant input to key strategic partnerships i.e. City Strategies
8. To meet key quality standards and be responsible for full compliance of delivery across full geographical areas.
