Apprentice Recruitment Consultant - technical recruitment

We seek an Apprentice / Trainee Recruitment Consultant with the aptitude to develop into a recruitment professional.

The role will include:
- Online CV database searching
- Posting and monitoring vacancies online
- Candidate interviews (Mainly by phone & some face to face)
- Marketing / market research / new business development - newsletters, company literature, data collection via the web, magazines, directories & phone
- General office administration
- Client liaison: presenting candidates, arranging and following up interviews, through to offer and placement
- Account management
Essential skills
Confident manner, both face to face and on the phone; Ability to pick up and retain technical information; ability to get through large workloads effortlessly and accurately; Computer literate with good typing skills, Internet familiarity and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Training
We will support you through NVQs at Level 2 then Level 3 in a combination of Business Administration / Customer Service / Sales. Additionally you will get extensive on the job training and mentoring from very experienced senior Recruiters. We will additionally, after 6 months, fund training for the Certificate in Recruitment Practice giving you membership of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals - the leading industry trade body.
We have well equipped offices (in Westbury Village), good local bus links, free local parking. We work hard though in a relaxed environment: casual dress, real coffee, and I buy the bacon* sarnies on a Friday! (*Other fillings for sarnies are available!)

Project Manager - construction contracts

Specialist steel structures fabricator / sub-contractor, urgently seeking a Project Manager (office-based with some site visits), initially for 6 month contract but with the potential for a permanent role.
Projects are typically of short duration, and will comprise a combination of technical, process and commercial elements. You will need to bring your multi-tasking and prioritisation skills into play alongside your attention to technical detail to provide effective project coordination, working closely with internal colleagues and clients.
It is also anticipated that you will be assisting other Project Managers with larger projects and your commercial / contractual experience will be useful to both other Project Managers and the Sales team with large proposals.
All members of this small company contribute towards maximising profit and securing future work, and this means no clear demarcation lines. This could involve doing your own scanning / filing, helping on trade fair stands or hosting customer demonstration days.
This office-based job is essentially about detail and takes time to learn. There are streamlined processes in place, including a specialised software application to enable the work to move forward through the system; the Project Manager is there to enable timescale, cost, profit & customer requirements to be adhered to.
Essential requirements:
:: Knowledge and experience of contracts, must be construction-related and ideally steel
:: Project coordination or project management experience
:: The ability to work with a number of short-term projects (typically 2-3 weeks) at any one time
:: Prioritisation skills
:: Pay attention to detail whilst looking at the "bigger picture"
The following would be of particular interest:
:: Technical knowledge of light steel structures
:: Experience in highways, rail or telecom sectors

Engineering Geologist - piling / foundations
Gloucestershire
to £35,000 plus profit related bonus to 10%
Structural Engineer required for design of innovative steel pile foundations primarily for our clients ongoing highways and rail projects. You will be required to carry out innovative yet practical foundations / piliing designs and see them through to site.
Ideally you will possess a combination of the following:
:: Qualification as either Structural Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer, Engineering Geologist to degree or equivalent
:: Experience in steel structures design, steel piling design, ideally with experience in manufacturing / fabricator environment
:: Solid understanding of deep foundations / ground conditions
:: Experience in designing piled foundations ( driven steel piles / screw piles )
:: Working knowledge of highways ( DMRB ) and / or railway standards
:: The ability to work flexible hours particularly for site visits
