We are looking for somebody who has sold Timber Frame technology to the non self build market who fully understands the technical implications of Timber Frame and has the ability to deal with a wide commercial audience on a geography from the West and East Midlands south to include the South West, Central southern belt and the South East.

In return you will receive a generous basic salary of £45,000 (This maybe slightly negotiable to attract the best) and a bonus scheme of 10% on top of basic plus either a generous mileage allowance or car allowance or car plus prospects which are tangible as the division continues to expand. :: Are you looking for an opportunity to build on your coaching and mentoring experience?

Established timber frame manufacturer seeking Designer with solid experience in designing the complete package, including walls, roof trusses, floor cassettes and steel connections. You will be involved in the preparation of drawings including General Arrangement, Site Layouts, sections and details as well as details for fabrication. The role will also see you involved from conception to completion of the project design (which may include estimating), and you will be liaising with clients, Architects and Engineers as well as your internal colleagues in Production and Construction.

As Senior Designer, you will also be involved in coaching and mentoring other members of staff, as well as programming and planning the work of yourself and the team.

Ideally you will possess all or most of the following:

:: Experience in designing timber frame kits including wall panels, roof systems and floor joists / cassettes
:: Good working knowledge of Mitek 20/20 and WoodEngine and AutoCAD Architecture
:: Overall knowledge of the building industry
:: Understanding of the relationship between manufacture and construction
:: Excellent communication and organisation skills
:: Ability to coach, mentor and supervise team members

Project Manager required by specialist sub-contractor working on the construction of a large steel structure based in the North West of England.

Due to the special conditions involved in this project, you will need to possess the relevant construction qualifications including CSCS (black) and ideally CPCS Appointed Person ( Lifting Operations ).

Your key skills and experience will include:
:: Prior experience in managing construction projects comprising steel structures, ideally for energy utilities end user client
:: Involvement as subcontractor's Project Manager for major projects (in excess of £10 million for the complete project)
:: Strong practical experience and knowledge combined with professional approach for client contact
:: Good standard of written English

Your role will be to run the project, early identification (and where possible, prevention) of problems and identify and implement efficiencies. Due to the time-critical nature of the project (phased handover), you will be driving the steel fabricators to adhere to compliances and time constraints as well as ensuring other relevant parts of the project are able to accommodate your own timescales. You will be working initially in the office in the East Midlands prior to implementation and after completion of the project, but the majority of your time will be spent on site in the North West, therefore it is likely you will be based within commuting distance of Liverpool.
