DescriptionRegister your CV TQ Education and Training is a provider of outsourced training services to the UK Ministry of Defence, other public sector organisations and private companies, both in the UK and overseas. As a result of continued growth, we have a requirement for Key Skills and Functional Skills Deliverers/Tutors as part of our Army Apprenticeship contract.

Initially you will be responsible for delivering Key Skills then Functional Skills – Literacy, Numeracy and Information & Communications Technology (IT) training to military students. Duties to include:

•Teaching on a range of courses, primarily Functional/Key Skills as agreed with the Contract Manager
•Supporting and motivating trainees in their studies
•Undertake other specified duties including tutorial support and associated administrative tasks
•Have available an up-to-date syllabus and schemes of work (showing methods of delivery) for each course/class taught
•Prepare suitable teaching and learning materials for a range of courses/classes and make use of a range of appropriate delivery methodologies
•Maintain accurate records as required of all student assessed work and report progress or otherwise at appropriate course team meetings
•Set, assess and maintain records of all examinations or end of unit assessments
•Follow all agreed Quality Assurance Systems and Risk Management systems and comply with all policies and procedures (eg. Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities) and ensure that these policies are followed
•Undertake appropriate staff development activities that support personal development, ensuring your own teaching practice conforms with standards

POST REQUIREMENTS:

Essential
•Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in subject specialism
•Relevant teaching and/or training qualification (ie Cert Ed, PGCE, CTLLS, DTLLS)
•Experience of delivering functional/key skills
•Relevant teaching/training background, preferably within education/training sector
•Good ICT skills
•Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
•Flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic team-workers
•Full current driving licence or ability to travel to employers’ premises

Desirable
•Level 4 qualification
•Assessing qualification ie A1 (D32/D33)
•Knowledge or an understanding of the NVQ framework
•Health & Safety awareness
•Evidence of ongoing professional development

Location: Minley, near Camberley, Hampshire

•Responsibility for all administration for IT, Communications and Warehousing Apprenticeships.

•Carry out induction briefs for all learners.
•Ensure all learners are registered for all elements of their Apprenticeship.
•Ensure timely reviews are carried out and recorded.
•Coordinate Functional Skills for cohorts using associate delivery staff.
•Update MAYTAS MIS system as required.
•Process feedback forms with the Apprenticeship Administrator.

We deliver and assess English Language, Key Skills and Technical International Vocational Qualifications to Level 3 in the Petroleum Industry. We provide curriculum and accreditation to international standards and recruit teaching and support staff who deliver the training and assessment programs, both in the training centre and also to trainees in the field.

We require Native English Speaking Instructors to assist in managing the Plant Operator Training program. You will supervise/manage a team of Trainers and Workshop Technicians who will deliver the technical curriculum at the Polytechnic and carry out on-the-job assessments in the field. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the curriculum, managing the workshop, developing assessments and Standard Operating Procedures in order to meet all the awarding body and client requirements. In addition, you will deliver the training programme as and when required, and internally verify all portfolios to the agreed External Verifier and Awarding Organisation standards. You will also assist in the training, development and certification of training bilingual staff as Assessors.

POST REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
•Minimum of a Diploma level qualification in process/plant operations or relevant engineering subject
•Significant relevant industrial experience in process/plant operations and in the oil/gas industry
•Minimum of 5 years training program delivery experience
•3 years management/supervisory/team leader experience
