A UK leader in the design and manufacture of interior building products and comfort heating and cooling systems, has a requirement for a Senior CAD Engineer in the project management division based in Reading.
You will undertake design work on development projects including internal manufacturing details for the production plants and working drawings and details for external customers.
Key Tasks
1.Undertake design works using the latest AUTOCAD software with the aim of understanding the full integration of the products.
2.Provide technical support relating to the final use specification of the products.
3.Provide design assistance for product demonstrations and product components.
4.Provide after sales design support as required.
5.Ensure that costs are controlled and do not exceed budget provision and all design work is produced on a timely basis.

We are seeking 2 experienced and established Quantity Surveyors for a successful company engaged in main contracting and specialist sub-contracting activities in the UK. They are active in the social housing and car park refurbishment sectors as main contractors conducting major schemes under JCT and PPC 2000 contract formats. They also operate as specialist concrete repair sub-contractors to the road, rail and water industry sectors.
These roles will be based within the social housing main contracting division, conducting major schemes under JCT and PPC2000.
We are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor with existing experience in contracting, to work with the Project and Contract Managers on the delivery of a major scheme in Southwark where numerous trades will be working. This individual will be based from offices in Essex or London.
The second individual will be based from the Hertfordshire office, and their role will entail regular and frequent visits to sites in and around London and the northern Home Counties. The normal scope of works will include external structural repairs including associated roof repairs, replacement windows, re-wires and replacement kitchen and bathroom installation. Increasingly they are developing a presence in the school refurbishment and minor new build sector
Both individuals will report to the Director of Surveying and will work in a professional surveying function who work in tandem with senior members of the operational management in a close-knit team dedicated to delivering a quality product whilst driving the business forward commercially.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be necessarily limited to: Preparations of Valuations, Cash Flow forecasting, Preparation of sub-contract orders and accounts All financial aspects of a project from receipt of order to preparation of final account, for a wide variety of internal and external refurbishment projects predominantly in the social housing and public building sectors (project sizes £600K - £5 million pa)
Extensive experience of surveying within contracting will be essential and specific experience of working on internal and external social housing refurbishment projects would be highly desirable. Candidates must also be computer literate. Whilst not essential, a formal qualification (Degree in Surveying, RICS, ICE etc) would be advantageous. |

A rail orientated Senior Project Manager is required for my Sussex and Kent based client. They are a contractor to the rail industry and have developed a growing business in substation refurbishments and electrification.
It is probable that the successful candidate will come from a rail background, but commercial and industrial experience may also be considered. A good understanding and training in the high voltage sector of the industry is essential and a formal engineering qualification is essential.
